"I was prepping for the Brooklyn Half, Columbus Half, Marine Corps and New York prior to the pandemic. I'm still operating five to six situations weekly and I have incorporated plenty of biking as well.

I am an extremely disciplined and purpose driven runner. I'm actually flourishing during this pandemic since it's providing me an opportunity to experiment with some various challenges. I did so a 30-day concern where I went at least a 5K everyday and it turned out to become a 120-mile month. My next problem is seven days right of seven miles each day.

These kind of issues are keeping me inspired and difficult me at the exact same time. I have started to set targets for 2021 so I won't be ending any time soon!"

Ta Trecia Davis, 47, of Pickerington, is co-ambassador of Black Women Work! Columbus Chapter. She's been working for five decades and has done four marathons and sixteen 1/2 marathons, including Columbus twice.

"Right before the pandemic attack, I was bottom instruction for my major battle of the entire year (TCS) New York Town Marathon. The shutdown and the pandemic came with a lot of stress and anxieties. COVID-19 took the life span of my small cousin and my excellent friend's parents all within a couple of days apart. It had been damaging and mentally hard, understanding I could not be there for my love ones. Therefore for weeks, I applied excuses for maybe not running. My instructor encouraged me to return to working to help manage stress and keep consitently the immune system in check.

Being fully a motivation, encourager, and one that appears to stimulate the others, I got back to doing what I want to do. It started with 100 miles for monthly that rapidly turned into doing a function streak. My 2020 targets have transformed, it's about survival while empowering the black community to become healthier. We realize this disease is having an important impact in my community. Operating is not canceled, nor is our ability to improve the operating community. That is our time to savor living, since it is really a BLESSING to perform!"
